Short term treatment of insomnia, including difficulty in failing asleep, nocturnal awakening and early awakening, transient situational or chronic insomnia and insomnia secondary to psychiatric disturbances.
Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?
Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient Hypersenstivity. Hepatic impairment. Decompensated respiratory insufficiency. Myasthenia gravis. Severe sleep apnoea. Pregnancy, lactation and children.
Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication
Alcoholism. Renal insufficiency. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery.
What are possible side effects of this medication ?
Metalic taste. GI disturbances. Urticaria. Irritability, confusion, depressed mood, aggressiveness and incoordination.
