Indication : Why is this medication prescribed?

Aniplatelet drug: In combination with heparin and aspirin used in the management of unstable angina, non Q wave myocardial infarction, including patients who may subsequently undergo percutaneous transluminal coronary angiplasty to decrease the rate of refractory ischaemic conditions, new myocardial infarction and death..

Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?

Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient
Hypersensitivity, history of bleeding disoders, intracranial AV malformation or aneurysm or hoemorrhage, thrombocytopenia, aortic dissection, uncontrolled hypertension, acute pancratitis, chronic hepatic disease.

Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication

History of recent bleeding, hoemorrhagic retinopathy. Patients on chronic hemodialysis. History of cerebrovascular disease . Pregnancy.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?

Thrombocytopenia, bleeding, pulmonary hoemorrhage. Hypersensitivity.
