Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?
Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient Hypersensitivity. Prostate and male breast carcinoma. Pregnancy and lactation. Hypercalcaemia or hypercalciuria.

What are possible side effects of this medication ?
Virilization, excess body hair and menstrual irregularities in women. Acne. Frequent, sustained and often painful erections in males in the beginning of therapy, subside spontaneously after sometime. Oligozoospermia. Precocious puberty and shortening of stature. Edema. Cholestatic jaundice. Hepatic carcinoma. Gynaecomastia. Lowering of HDL and rise in LDL levels.
