Contraindication: What are the special precautions to be followed?
Under following conditions, use of this medication is inadvisable. Its use should be withhold as it would cause harm to the patient Past history of angioedema,? heart condution disorders, sick sinus syndrome, second of third degree of heart block, bradycardia,? severe heart failure or coronary artery disease. Severe renal or liver impairment, Raynaud disease, epilepsy, depression. Parkinsons disease, glaucoma. Pregnancy and lactation. Excess mortality has been seen in patients with symptomatic heart failure.
Other Precaution to be observed while taking this medication
?Patients with moderate to severe renal impairment. Abrupt discontinuation of the drug should? be avoided. If concomitant treatment with a beta blocker has to be stopped, the beta blocker should be discontinued first, then moxonidine after a few days.
